The Wine Aroma Wheel was initially created by Ann Noble, then professor at UC Davis, to remove vague language and empower winemakers and other professionals to speak succinctly about their sensory experiences. In Bianca Bosker's book, 'Cork Dork', she visits Noble thirty years after the Aroma Wheel's inception (among many other thought provoking stops on Bosker's plunge into winedom). While these days my tasting notes usually look more like doodles or songs that I'm reminded of, I can't recommend this book enough!
