Inspired by overtly herbaceous, tropical Agricole Rhum cocktails, this Tiki cup uses Blanco tequila and Amaro Montenegro as its spirit base. Orgeat, a toasted almond syrup emblematic of many tiki drinks, is a major agent in marrying the two together. Add whiskey barrel bitters to the top of this citrus-bright drink for inky, added drama.
- 2 oz Blanco Tequila
- .75 oz Amaro Montenegro
- 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice, pulp strained
- 1 oz Orgeat
- 2-3 Dashes Fee Brothers Whiskey Barrel Bitters
Shake ingredients and strain over crushed ice in a tall Collins glass. Top with whiskey barrel bitters or fresh mint, a lime wheel and a paper umbrella if you’re a tiki purist.
